Generational Translator, 2018

Acting as an extension to the two-channel video work, Same Time, Always Behind: Toronto/Eindhoven (I) and the translation key to its featured subtitles, Generational Translator presents the collaborating artists’ logged experiences in the form of translated letters produced by each artists’ grandparents: Wetzer'sgrandfather, Gerard Wetzer, translating the English subtitles to Dutch, and DiCarlo's grandmother, Jean Boneschankser, translating the Dutch subtitles to English.
